You can also enjoy the flavor of famous wwii battleship combat with your choice of famous ships such as the Yamato battleship, Battleship New Jersey, Battleship Texas, Battleship Missouri, or any other battleship that comes to mind.

Save the Admiral Campaign and Menu Overview:

You may remember reading news about the "Lost Admiral", that famous Admiral who so valiantly defended our country for many years... Tragically the bitter losses towards the end of the war drove the Admiral wild with frustration and endless soul searching.  Eventually the burden became so great that the Admiral's mind turned inward searching for the solution to the overwhelming war killing our country.  Now the Admiral is lost to us, creating an endless internal world where various approaches and solutions these bitter naval battles is sought.  The Admiral has literally created a mental world of complex "Naval Chess"... And WE must help the Admiral solve these dilemmas and return to the real world to help our country!

YOU must guide the Admiral through the many challenges created in this mental "Naval Chess" and lead the way back to acceptance, inner peace, and the determination to see our country finish this war and return to peace.  The Admiral's mind is brilliant, and very good at creating surprises, twists, and opponents that show no mercy.  You must fight these mental battles side by side with the Admiral, and overcome any and all resistance that the Admiral creates on this quest for inner peace and resolution.

When you are ready to start helping the Admiral, enter the "Save the Admiral" Menu from the first menu in LAR.  After some brief introduction text, you will be able to view the first political region.  This is where the Admiral feels that he can gain support needed by his homeland for the war by doing favors to each State's political forces.  Each state will have a special mission and battle map that it wishes a conquest to be made on.  Choose a state, successfully complete the special battle mission, and the state will be swayed to support the Admiral!  Do this for enough states, and the Region will be solidly behind the Admiral's efforts!  Then your efforts can move to other regions to continue to improve the Admiral's condition.

Every state has a cost in "State points" that you must pay in order to start it's special mission.  If you do not have enough state points to try for any of the states on the map, you will need to go earn some more state points by fighting regular battles.

Every state wants you to fight and win on a specific battle map, and conduct a special mission successfully.  Complete their requested mission to both sway the state to support the Admiral, and to receive a variety of rewards that the state may be offering.

To undertake a state's mission, simply left click on the state's initials on the map, or on it's name in the state list.

There are also "extra" battles you can fight that are not tied to any specific state.  Use these battles to earn specific extra rewards for Perk points, State points, or other useful bonuses.  You will only have so many of these "extra" battles available to you at any given time, and will earn new ones for every two state battles you actually fight (win or lose).  These "extra" battles are listed at the bottom of the menu.

Refer to the following additional sections to learn more about the state map, rewards offered, how to fight and win state battles, or strategies to use when striving to Save the Admiral:

How quickly can you Save the Admiral?  Seek his mental acceptance of support from all the states with all the speed and alacrity you can muster...

Always keep in the back of your own mind that these challenges are part of the Admiral's mental "Naval Chess", so you can expect surprises and twists that might not be seen in our everyday real word life...
